We are seeking a Facilities Asset Manager for a 2 month assignment to assist with:

• Development of a unique identifier for all facilities assets;
• Refining the facilities asset data base;
• Refining and implementing a building condition assessment form; and
• Coordinating and carrying out condition assessments.

Skills / Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in asset management along with current knowledge of asset management processes, procedures and practices;
• Experience in carrying out condition assessments on facilities;
• Knowledge of asset valuation and depreciation;
• High level of computer skills; and
• Well developed negotiation and communication skills.

We are seeking a GIS Officer for an 8 week temporary assignment in SEQ to maintain corporate GIS asset datasets and production of quality spatial products and analysis.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in GIS or a related discipline along with experience within spatial field;
• Knowledge and experience in the principles, implementation and application of GIS methodologies and techniques;
• Experience in the operation of MapInfo software products;
• Knowledge / experience in the use of data capture or associated GPS equipment; and
• Experience within Local Government, water or other utility sectors will be an advantage.

Travel at the beginning and end of the assignment will be covered and accommodation for the length of the assignment will be provided.

Council will provide accommodation and assist with travel expenses.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Experience in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of water and sewerage treatment and plumbing services;
• Experience in developing & reviewing procedure manuals to ensure compliance with legislation;
• Experience in planning & implementing legislation changes;
• Experience in interpreting technical specifications;
• Wide knowledge of water and sewerage treatment plant operations, environmental health and operation and maintenance of bores and pumps;
• Experience in pipe works and/or reticulation operations; and
• Certificate III Water Industry is highly desirable.
